Position: Senior Specialist, Occupational Health, Req#: 11152-1

Location: Draper, UT (100% Onsite)

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Shift: The shift is 8 am MT to 6 pm MT Monday-Thursday. 32 Hours/Week

Job Description:

Job Description: Summary:

The main function of an occupational health specialist is to provide case management of all workers' compensation claims, including conducting and documenting factual investigations, analyzing medical records, and providing advice on the need for additional medical information (e.g., through subpoenas or surveillance).

Education and Experience:

  • BSN with 5 plus years of Nursing experience.
  • Occupational health background or experience is strongly preferred, but not needed!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform health evaluation, initial diagnosis, and treatment to employees, upon request.
  • Manage onsite health and environmental screening programs, including referrals for clinical evaluations; interpret, document and communicate program results based on knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Advise Human Resources and Legal departments regarding employee work restrictions and potential accommodations of medical conditions.
  • Responsible for maintaining the OSHA 300 log, 301, and 300A, based on knowledge of OSHA regulations.
